Prowein<\/a> in Dusseldorf, one of the key wine and spirits trade fairs in Europe, has become a \u2018must go to\u2019 for buyers, importers and journalists wishing to stay up to date with news trends, new products, and movers and shakers on the international wine market. \u00a0In March, it celebrated its 20th<\/sup> anniversary.<\/p>\n

This year, the Fair attracted over 4,800 exhibitors from 47 countries. Amongst them our 36 sqm VIN DE FRANCE stand, showcasing the 2014 Best Value Vin de France Selection. Our objective was to target the Fair\u2019s 48,000 visitors and give key members of the trade the opportunity to taste the 87 VIN DE FRANCE wines medaled<\/a> by our international panel of experts earlier this year.<\/p>\n

We were also proud to host a tutored tasting of a selection of ten wines by Markus Del Monego MW<\/a>, the first German to win the title of Meilleur Sommelier du Monde. Markus who also has a buying consulting role with a German multiple retailer, talked an interested audience through the key assets of each wine and gave food and wine pairing suggestions for each of them.<\/p>\n

Our 4th<\/sup> participation in Prowein<\/a> was supported by a strong communication campaign including special features in key trade publications such as Wein+Markt<\/i> <\/a>(Germany), The Drinks Business<\/i> <\/a>(UK), Perswijn <\/i>(Netherlands), a series of online communications, as well as an international emailing sent out across ten VIN DE FRANCE export markets including UK, USA, Germany, \"Anivin<\/a>Belgium, Netherlands, Canada, China and Japan.<\/p>\n

Our stand was a success with over 1,000 professionals visiting across the three days of the Fair, and I was delighted to hear very positive comments on the VIN DE FRANCE wines they tasted. We also encouraged our visitors to go and meet the producers and their agents exhibiting at the Fair, or contact them directly thanks to over 500 tasting booklets which were distributed on the stand and to our website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

87 wines<\/a>, 500 booklets, 1,000 visitors, thousands of samples poured\u2026a busy 3 days at Prowein<\/a> which I am sure will benefit VIN DE FRANCE wines.<\/p>\n
