the time has certainly passed quickly! Since 2009, when Vin De France wines were first launched, there have been considerable changes in our export markets, and the category has continued to grow and gain in importance. Today some 15% of all French still wines exported are Vin De France wines. A total of 185 million bottles were sold in 2016 – double the volume compared with 2010 – with 749 producers including at least one Vin De France wine in their portfolio, a number that increases each year. We are very proud to represent so many French wine producers, and look forward to welcoming even more to “Club Vin De France” in the coming months and years.

<img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-276" style="width: 434px; we had a large contingent from the US and Canada; a good representation from Scandinavia; the Far East was represented by China, Japan and Hong Kong; and this year we were delighted to add Australia to our far-reaching list! One of the most pleasurable elements of this tasting is this international element, and the rich conversations shared across the table after each flight. It is fascinating to hear the different cultural benchmarks which consumers in these very diverse markets use to assess the wines they like. A good job then that Vin De France is a category designed to craft wines which are tailored to answer all these individual requirements!

<img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-274" style="width: 207px;
