Christmas celebrations are around the corner and I cannot believe 2015 has gone by already.

We have been so busy taking Vin de France from one country to another, from one city to the next, meeting buyers and journalists and consumers….that I lost track of the time!

2015 has been such an exciting year.

We have welcomed Serge Tintané as ANIVIN DE FRANCE’s new president. We showcased the 112 wines awarded at the Best Value Vin de France Selection 2015 on a dedicated stand at Prowein, the major international wine fair in Germany. Our trade tour of China took VIN DE FRANCE wines to two new major cities. We hosted instore tastings in Canada. We took the US by storm, with 16 One on One meetings with key buyers; a VIN DE FRANCE dedicated stand and two seminars at Best of France in NYC; and a major campaign of instore tastings across the country. I lost track of how many times I flew in and out of the country with different members of the ANIVIN DE FRANCE’s board to meet key professionals around the world, but it has all been worth it.

All VIN DE FRANCE brands can be very proud, for we can boast impressive export statistics on several target export markets. In the USA, the exports of VIN DE FRANCE wines stating the grape variety on the label have quadrupled in the past two years and made it our fourth biggest export market. In Canada, which is the 7th biggest export market for VIN DE FRANCE wines, they have already increased by 8% over the course of the first eight months of 2015. And all indicators predict this trend to continue!

We are now busy preparing for 2016, which will start on Friday 5 February with the Best Value Vin de France Selection tasting taking place in Paris. With an ever increasing number of French wine producers coming into the VIN DE FRANCE category, we are expecting even more samples from even more brands to be competing for gold medals in 2016.

This time again, the jury panel will comprise esteemed buyers from different export markets, tasting hand in hand with the Union des Oenologues de France. Amongst them, growing export markets, such as Denmark and Sweden, will be represented for the first time. From 35 jury members in 2015, we will welcome a total of 45 in 2016 to accommodate the increased numbers of wines in the competition.

Registrations to the Best Value Vin de France Selection tasting are free and now open! To register and for more information, click here. As always, the selected wines will gain international exposure to both trade and consumer audiences throughout all promotional activities organised by ANIVIN DE FRANCE abroad in 2016.

Now is time for me to wish you all, on behalf of our president Serge Tintané, his board, and the whole team at ANIVIN DE FRANCE, fantastic Christmas celebrations and all the best for the New Year.

See you on the blog in 2016!
