ANIVIN DE FRANCE CREATES BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES AT PROWEIN (GERMANY)

If the 7% increase in visitors attending Prowein (Germany) in March 2015 compared to 2014 is anything to go by, the annual German wine fair’s success is going from strength to strength. WithAnivin (14) more than 40% of its 52,000 visitors being identified as “foreigners”, Prowein’s pull also goes increasingly beyond the German borders, making it one of the biggest wine trade fairs in Europe and a perfect stage for us to showcase the Best Value Vin de France Selection to the international wine trade.

For the 5th year running, ANIVIN DE FRANCE hosted a generic VIN DE FRANCE stand featuring the 112 wines selected earlier this year in Paris during the annual Best Value Vin de France Selection Tasting.

Our objective on the stand was to give fast track access to the VIN DE FRANCE category, and offer buyers, journalists, importers, sommeliers and merchants alike an opportunity to discover VIN DE FRANCE wines and brands. We were also keen on creating business opportunities. All visitors to our stand were given a tasting booklet featuring key information on the wines on offer, and contact details and stand numbers of the brands exhibiting at Prowein. It was therefore very easy for visitors who liked a wine on the ANIVIN DE FRANCE stand to then go and meet the sales people behind it.

I was delighted to welcome around 200 visitors (including quite a large number of key buyers and importers from the US) per day on our stand which was situated in a premium area of the fair, making it a successful event for VIN DE FRANCE. Bruno Kessler (ANIVIN DE FRANCE’S former president) and I were also really glad to see some of you at the Best Value Vin de France award ceremony on the 15th March, during which certificates were presented to this year’s gold and silver medal winners.Anivin (21)

As in previous years, our participation at Prowein was supported by a strong international communications campaign, including an email burst sent to over 10,000 professionals across 11 VIN DE FRANCE export markets; special features in trade press such as Wein+Markt (Germany), The Drinks Business (UK), Perswijn (Netherlands), and In Vino Veritas (Belgium); as well as a series of online communications.
